I am a part of the Oregon Trail Generation having been born during a technological inflection point of human development. I did not grow up with a cell phone in my hand but I did have relatively easy access to computers and the concept that technology would be a formative influencer on the world. I witnessed the “release” and mass adoption of the internet and its evolution to its current state of waste as it is used primarily for social media, advertising, and pornography. I mourn the days when people had the vision of technology as a means to improve themselves and their fellow humans.
For the past 12 years, I have worked in the technology startup space. My focus has been in customer service, technical support, operations, and project management. I believe technology still has a chance to work for the betterment of humanity and I have dedicated much of my adult life to this pursuit. I actively pursue improving myself in an effort to help others do the same and technology is a tool I leverage to facilitate these endeavors.
I enjoy reading and writing about leadership, ethics, history, philosophy, technical support operations, and business.
